Marvin Lynn Morrison | The Madisonville Meteor
Seven weeks after a life-saving lung transplant and a valiant, courageous attempt to recover, aided heroically by his transplant team, Marvin Lynn Morrison, age 77, of Huntsville, Texas, departed this life and entered eternity Thursday, Sept. 24, 2020 in the presence of his second wife Ann Brock Morrison and his children, Shelli Morrison Weiss, Scott Owen Morrison, Avery-Ann Weiss, Brad Brock, and Jaina Wakefield at Baylor-St. Lukes Medical Center, Houston, Texas.
To those who uplifted Marvin and his family through the waiting period and the last seven weeks since surgery, heartfelt gratitude for your abiding prayer vigilance and every way you uplifted and loved on Marvin and his family, especially Ann, Shelli, and Scott. By unconditional loves saving grace through Jesus Christ, Marvin is in the presence of others who love him just as much and more as ourselves, healthy, wholly restored with the Breath of Life that nothing can diminish.
Marvin was born November 10, 1942 in Houston, Texas to William Lenwood Morrison and Oween Kennedy Morrison both of Groveton, Texas. The family relocated to Houston, Texas after WWII, then to Humble, Texas in 1958 where Marvin attended school and graduated from Humble High School. Marvin entered the U.S. Navy in 1962. Having already met Byrna Lou Karcher, they married December 10, 1962. Marvin was stationed mostly out of Norfolk, Virginia, as a sonar operator on the USS Swerve Aggressive Class minesweeper assigned to the Florida and Cuban waters ....
